Mobile Equipment Maintenance Lead

About the role

Lafarge Egypt is seeking a Mobile Equipment Maintenance Lead to oversee mechanical and electrical maintenance of mobile equipment at its Sokhna cement plant. The role combines hands‑on technical work with team leadership, safety stewardship, and cost management.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Holcim safety rules, wear proper PPE, and embed safety into all maintenance activities.
• Supervise and perform electrical and mechanical repairs on mobile equipment, adhering to company policies and manufacturer standards.
• Provide technical assistance for complex issues and investigate root causes to prevent recurrence.
• Inspect work areas, test tools, and maintain safe housekeeping conditions.
• Conduct SWI and risk assessments with the maintenance team.
• Track equipment costs, record expenditures, and report annual maintenance spend.
• Review, coordinate, and approve work performed by external subcontractors.
• Collaborate with other departments on preventive‑maintenance outcomes and technical complaints.
• Evaluate team performance, manage individual development plans, and review KPI results.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading mechanical and electrical maintenance of mobile equipment in an industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of safety standards and ability to enforce them.
• Demonstrated ability to analyse failures, conduct root‑cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Experience managing maintenance budgets and tracking cost data.
• Effective coordination with internal teams and external subcontractors.
