Oracle Exadata Senior Administrator

About the role

DXC Technology is looking for a Senior Exadata Administrator to own the full lifecycle of Oracle Exadata platforms, both on‑premises and on OCI. You will ensure mission‑critical databases run at peak performance, high availability and resilience.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, configure and manage Exadata Database Machine racks (X8M, X9M, X10M) and Exadata Cloud Service (ExaCS/ExaCC) including networking, ILOM and storage components.
• Perform patching, firmware upgrades and lifecycle automation using tools such as dbaascli, exaCLI, PatchMgr, opatchauto and Terraform.
• Implement and maintain Oracle RAC, Data Guard and RMAN backup strategies for HA/DR across on‑prem and cloud environments.
• Monitor and tune performance using AWR, ASH, ADDM, cell metrics, Smart Scan and IORM, and conduct capacity planning.
• Apply security hardening, TDE, Oracle Key Vault and compliance controls following Oracle Maximum Security Architecture.

Required profile

• 7‑8 years of Oracle Database and infrastructure administration experience, with at least 4 years focused on Exadata platforms.
• Strong communication skills and ability to produce clear operational documentation and collaborate with architects and DBA teams.
