OT Cybersecurity Consultant

About the role

Dar, a member of the Sidara group, is seeking an OT Cybersecurity Consultant to provide advisory, design, and assurance services for smart buildings, smart cities, and critical infrastructure projects that integrate Operational Technology (OT) and Industrial Control Systems (ICS). You will embed cybersecurity requirements into engineering designs, control schematics, network architectures, and technical specifications throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the cybersecurity engineering design lifecycle for OT/ICS environments from concept through commissioning.
• Assess, design, and implement tailored OT cybersecurity solutions for smart infrastructure.
• Develop secure OT architectures based on zoning, segmentation, and secure access principles.
• Align OT engineering solutions with IEC 62443, NIST 800-82, and other regulatory frameworks.
• Produce cybersecurity engineering requirements, control schematics, and technical specifications.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and external vendors to embed security requirements.
• Conduct OT cybersecurity risk assessments and define mitigation measures.
• Advise on deployment and configuration of OT firewalls, segmentation gateways, and monitoring solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in OT/ICS cybersecurity engineering.
• Familiarity with IEC 62443 and NIST 800-82 standards.
• Ability to work across telecom, electrical, mechanical, security, BMS, AV, and other engineering disciplines.
• Strong analytical skills for risk assessment and mitigation planning.
