Part‑time PhD Peer Reviewer – Oral Medicine

About the role

This is a long‑term, stable part‑time position that allows you to work remotely as a peer reviewer for manuscripts in oral medicine. The role is ideal for experienced researchers who wish to contribute to scholarly publishing while maintaining flexibility.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the novelty of submitted manuscripts and determine their contribution to the field.
• Evaluate study design, methodology, and reproducibility of the research.
• Verify that literature reviews are comprehensive and up‑to‑date.
• Analyse results and conclusions to ensure they are clearly presented and supported by data.
• Provide constructive, written feedback highlighting strengths, weaknesses, and any ethical concerns.
• Recommend acceptance, revision, or rejection to the journal editor.

Required profile

• Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent advanced degree in a relevant discipline.
• At least five peer‑reviewed publications in SCI/SSCI journals within the past three years.
• Strong understanding of research methodologies and ethical standards.
• Excellent analytical, critical‑thinking, and written communication abilities.
• Ability to meet deadlines, manage time effectively, and maintain confidentiality.
• Prior experience as a peer reviewer is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with online manuscript submission and review platforms.
