Pavement Visual Inspection Engineer

About the role

Citylogix ME is looking for a Pavement Visual Inspection Engineer to join its Pavement Assessment team in New Cairo. The role focuses on reviewing road imagery, labeling pavement distresses, and validating AI‑generated defect detections to ensure high‑quality condition data for clients.

Key responsibilities

• Label pavement distresses and correct AI detection outputs using image‑annotation tools.
• Validate AI‑generated defect detections against source imagery, confirming, correcting, or rejecting each output.
• Classify pavement distresses by type, severity, and extent according to internal guidelines.
• Perform independent visual inspections on statistically sampled road segments.
• Assess surface type (asphalt, concrete, gravel, composite) and ensure correct defect taxonomy is applied.
• Review segment‑level condition scores for consistency with imagery and defect records.
• Detect and report imagery quality issues such as occlusion, glare, motion blur, or insufficient lighting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong visual attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency across high‑volume reviews.
• Comfortable working for extended periods in image‑review software environments.
• Ability to apply written standards consistently and document deviations clearly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
