Paymaster / General Cashier – Hotel Finance

About the role

We are looking for a Paymaster / General Cashier to join our hotel’s finance team. The role combines payroll processing with cash management, ensuring accurate and secure financial operations in a hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and process monthly payroll for all hotel employees, ensuring correct salaries, overtime, deductions and bonuses.
• Maintain payroll records, coordinate with HR on attendance, leaves and final settlements, and ensure compliance with labour laws.
• Receive, verify and record daily cash collections from all hotel outlets, prepare bank deposits and manage petty cash.
• Reconcile cash receipts with Front Office and F&B reports, investigate discrepancies and report them.
• Safeguard cash and financial documents, support internal and external audits, and adhere to internal control procedures.
• Prepare daily cash reports, assist the Chief Accountant with financial reporting and maintain accurate transaction records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in hospitality.
• Experience with payroll systems and cash handling procedures.
• Familiarity with hotel management systems such as Opera, Sun System or Micros.
