Pre Sales Engineer – Automation & Instrumentation

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Pre‑Sales Engineer to join our automation and instrumentation team in Maadi, Cairo. The role supports the sales process by providing technical expertise on automation solutions for oil and gas projects.

Key responsibilities

• Review and analyze Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and tender documents, preparing and validating Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
• Size automation and control systems, select suitable components, and prepare Bills of Materials (BOM) in line with client specifications.
• Conduct technical evaluation and selection of automation and instrumentation systems.
• Coordinate with internal engineering and procurement teams to ensure accurate costing and solution delivery.
• Handle client clarifications, ensure compliance with technical requirements, and support sales during pre‑bid meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechatronics Engineering or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in automation and instrumentation presales or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of PLC, SCADA, DCS and field instrumentation systems.
• Proven experience in tendering, BOQ/BOM preparation and responding to RFQs.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, drawings and datasheets.
