Procurement Associate – Advisory (Managed Services)

About the role

PwC's Managed Services line delivers operational solutions for clients, combining advisory capabilities, technology expertise and delivery. This Procurement Associate position sits in the PwC Delivery Centre in Cairo and provides procurement services to PwC clients. The role covers research, provision and analysis of spend, supplier and market data to support procurement, contract and supplier management, category management and supply chain management.

Key responsibilities

• Support clients in procurement activities, including market analysis and engagement, requirements identification and managing the process from initiation to contract award
• Manage contracts on behalf of clients, assess third-party supplier risk, deliver and optimise commercial assurance and analyse existing contract structures for improvement and compliance
• Design category strategies and plans, and manage supply chains (internal and third party)
• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and support spot buys and bidding/RFx processes
• Analyse pricing and technical competence of goods and services, and perform spend analysis (top suppliers, categories, payment compliance)
• Maintain accurate records of procurement activities

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management or procurement; a Master's in engineering, business management or administration is a plus
• 2-3 years or more of procurement or supply chain experience; significant experience in IT, facilities management and other indirect spend categories is sought
• Commitment to ethical and sustainable procurement practices
