About the role

The Product Planning Manager will lead the development and execution of product planning, pricing, and sales forecasting strategies for our automotive portfolio. This role ensures the product mix remains competitive, profitable, and aligned with the company’s growth objectives.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement product planning strategies based on market opportunities and customer demand.
  • Define product positioning through analysis of customer needs, market trends, and competitor offerings.
  • Lead vehicle pricing analysis, benchmark competitors, and evaluate profitability.
  • Support pricing strategy execution to balance market competitiveness with business profitability.
  • Provide product forecasts, pricing recommendations, and market readiness insights for new vehicle launches.
  • Coordinate with regional teams on product specifications, allocation planning, and future model pipelines.
  • Conduct competitive benchmarking across automotive segments, covering features, specifications, pricing, and value proposition.
  • Monitor product performance and recommend actions to optimise sales, market share, inventory turnover, and profitability.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and Logistics to align product strategy with business targets.
  • Prepare executive dashboards and reports on sales performance, pricing trends, inventory health, and market outlook.
  • Support demand planning and inventory management to ensure optimal stock availability.
  • Lead monthly sales and product planning reviews, delivering data‑driven recommendations.
  • Drive continuous improvement of planning processes, forecasting accuracy, and reporting effectiveness.

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Automotive Engineering, Marketing or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in product planning, sales planning, pricing, business analytics or commercial strategy within the automotive industry.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive market dynamics, pricing strategies, forecasting techniques, and inventory management.
  • Proactive mindset with strong project management capabilities.
