Project Associate – Immigration & Border Governance

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Project Associate to support the Immigration and Border Governance (IBG) unit in Egypt. The role provides essential administrative assistance for projects that enhance border management, maritime security, and trade development across multiple ministries.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day administrative support for IBG projects, including documentation, scheduling, and logistics.
• Assist in the preparation and follow‑up of training activities, equipment provision, and infrastructure programmes.
• Coordinate with ministries such as Defense, Interior, Transportation, Finance, Foreign Affairs, and Civil Aviation to ensure smooth project implementation.
• Support the collection, analysis, and reporting of project data and progress indicators.
• Facilitate communication between IOM, governmental partners, and international stakeholders.

Required profile

• University degree in international relations, migration studies, public administration, or a related field.
• Experience in project administration or support within a multilateral or governmental context.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
