Project Manager – HV/EHV Substation

About the role

The HV & EHV Substation Project Manager leads the delivery of high‑voltage and extra‑high‑voltage substation projects from initiation through commissioning. You will ensure projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and meet all technical and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of HV/EHV substation projects, including engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies.
• Coordinate internal teams (engineering, procurement, construction) and external stakeholders (clients, consultants, subcontractors).
• Monitor progress, control budgets, and enforce quality and HSE standards.
• Review and approve technical documents, drawings, and method statements.
• Identify risks, implement mitigation measures, and report status to senior management and clients.
• Oversee procurement to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, and local regulations.
• Lead testing, commissioning, and hand‑over activities.
• Handle contract administration, claims, and variations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• PMP certification is a strong advantage.
• 8–12 years of experience in power projects, with at least 5 years in HV/EHV substations.
• Proven track record managing large‑scale substation projects.
