Projects Director – Construction Portfolio

About the role

The Projects Director will provide overall leadership and strategic direction for a portfolio of construction projects, ensuring safe, on‑time, and on‑budget delivery that meets quality standards and aligns with organisational objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution and delivery of multiple construction projects from mobilisation to hand‑over.
• Monitor progress, cost, quality and schedule performance, applying corrective actions when needed.
• Oversee project budgets, cash flow, cost control and financial reporting across the portfolio.
• Identify, assess and mitigate risks to avoid delays, claims or cost overruns.
• Support commercial and contractual decisions in partnership with Contracts and Commercial teams.
• Mentor and develop senior project managers and other project staff.
• Act as senior point of contact for key clients, consultants and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Sustainability (HSSE) policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• 15–20 years of experience managing large, complex, multi‑project construction portfolios.
• Strong commercial, contractual and financial management expertise.
• Proven experience in EPC or large‑contractor environments.
