Public Relations Specialist – Cairo

About the role

The Public Relations Specialist will be based in Cairo and will lead WAJJAD’s media outreach and communication initiatives. Working closely with internal teams, the role ensures the company’s brand and announcements are consistently represented across all public channels.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic communication plans aligned with corporate objectives.
• Draft, edit, and distribute press releases and other media materials.
• Maintain and grow relationships with journalists, editors, and key media outlets across traditional and digital platforms.
• Prepare talking points, briefing documents, and support spokespersons for interviews and public events.
• Monitor media coverage, produce PR reports, and coordinate message alignment with cross‑functional teams.
• Assist in crisis communication efforts and contribute to brand‑building activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in corporate or technology‑focused public relations, preferably in B2B sectors such as governance, finance or real estate.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is a strong advantage.
• Ability to work on‑site in Cairo and collaborate with teams across multiple locations.
• Track record of managing multiple projects, meeting tight deadlines, and thriving in a fast‑growth environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
