RAM Engineer

About the role

Alstom is looking for a full‑time RAM Engineer in Cairo to apply Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM) expertise across its rail signalling and transport solutions. You will support product reliability throughout the lifecycle, working closely with cross‑functional teams and technical specialists.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out RAM activities in projects and programs in line with QCD objectives while optimizing performance.
• Ensure solutions are reliable, maintainable and available, identifying optimal architectures based on RAM requirements.
• Perform product reliability assessments, validation activities and continuous reliability growth.
• Manage multiple developments/projects at all stages of the DFQ cycle and meet market reliability targets.
• Control risks related to RAM requirements and support continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Engineering degree.
• Experience in RAM or RAMS functions, preferably in railway signalling, integrated logistic support, maintenance, electronics or software engineering.
• Good knowledge of signalling principles.
• Knowledge of probability and statistics.
• Familiarity with RAM analysis and prediction techniques on systems and products.
• Competence in RAM monitoring and demonstration using field data.
• International mindset and collaborative attitude aligned with Alstom values.
