Safety Coordinator – Occupational Health & Safety Lead

About the role

The Safety Coordinator will join the QSE team to ensure occupational health and safety compliance across the organization. The role focuses on implementing safety programs, driving performance improvements, and supporting the company’s “Zero is Possible” vision.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor occupational health, safety and loss‑prevention policies, programs and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 45001, local regulations and internal KORE requirements through regular risk assessments and audits.
• Coordinate and deliver safety training for new hires, contractors and temporary staff.
• Maintain accurate safety data, report incidents via the TCCC/KOSMOS system and analyse trends to drive corrective actions.
• Supervise service providers and contractors performing safety‑related work.
• Conduct safety inspections, follow‑up on corrective actions and support emergency response planning.
• Manage plant security programs, including access‑control, perimeter detection and fire‑protection systems.
• Assist the ESLP manager with safety budgeting, cost‑saving initiatives and vendor negotiations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in occupational health and safety within an industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 45001 and local safety regulations.
• Ability to lead audits, risk assessments and continuous‑improvement projects.
• Excellent communication skills and the capacity to work collaboratively across functions.
