Sales Manager (FMCG) – Tanzania

About the role

Sumet Technologies Tanzania Limited is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead the growth of its EX‑PIDO mosquito repellent brand across urban, rural and semi‑urban markets. You will oversee regional sales operations, manage field teams, and build strategic partnerships to expand market reach.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve monthly and quarterly targets.
• Supervise field sales representatives and sales coordinators, ensuring high performance and accountability.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and key retailers.
• Coordinate marketing and promotional initiatives with head office.
• Work with credit and logistics teams to guarantee timely delivery and proper credit management.
• Report sales performance, forecasts, and market intelligence to senior leadership.
• Conduct performance reviews and coaching sessions for sales coordinators.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or related field.
• 10+ years of sales manager experience in FMCG/Cosmetics, with regional or country exposure.
• 5+ years in a leadership role managing large territories.
• Strong knowledge of rural and semi‑urban market dynamics in Tanzania.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) and willingness to travel extensively.

• Experience with sales reporting tools.
• Familiarity with CRM systems.
