SCC Cybersecurity Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated SCC Cybersecurity Engineer to join Alstom’s SCC Application Design team in Cairo. You will help secure the Automatic Train Supervision, SCADA and security subsystems of our next‑generation transport solutions, ensuring compliance with IEC 62443 standards.

Key responsibilities

• Define and apply Security Levels (SL‑T) according to IEC 62443 and derive System Security Requirements (SSRs) from risk analyses.
• Create, maintain and execute cybersecurity test cases, and automate testing where possible.
• Perform gap analyses, implement mitigation measures, and support secure‑by‑design architecture across SCC subsystems.
• Implement and manage secure communication protocols (TLS, SSH, HTTPS) and handle certificates, PKI and cryptographic mechanisms.
• Ensure traceability between risks, requirements and validation activities, and maintain cybersecurity documentation.
• Collaborate with system, software, validation and safety teams during integration, testing and commissioning.
• Contribute to threat modelling, vulnerability analysis and risk assessment, and proactively resolve security issues.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology or a related field.
• 0‑3 years of experience or strong academic background in cybersecurity.
• Passion for secure system design and willingness to work in a multidisciplinary transport environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IEC 62443 standards and security level assignment.
• Experience with secure communication protocols such as TLS, SSH and HTTPS.
• Understanding of PKI, certificate management and cryptographic mechanisms.
• Ability to perform threat modelling, vulnerability analysis and risk assessment.
