Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant ensures the integrity and accuracy of EYouth's financial records across its entities in Egypt, UAE and Saudi Arabia. The role handles day‑to‑day accounting operations, month‑end close, tax compliance and supports consolidated financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate journal entries for all entities.
• Execute monthly, quarterly and annual closing procedures, including reconciliations, accruals and pre‑payments.
• Oversee accounts receivable and payable cycles, invoice processing, payment runs and collection follow‑up.
• Monitor aging reports and coordinate with commercial teams on outstanding balances.
• Process intercompany transactions and perform reconciliations in EGP, AED and SAR.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations, resolve discrepancies and support cash‑flow forecasting.
• Prepare and file VAT and withholding tax returns and assist with corporate income tax filings.
• Operate and maintain financial records in Odoo and QuickBooks, ensuring chart‑of‑accounts integrity and proper cost‑center allocations.
• Assist in preparing management accounts, variance analysis, executive dashboards and FX gain/loss reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (required).
• CPA, CMA or ACCA qualification – completed or in progress (preferred).
• 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a multi‑entity or regional company.
• Strong knowledge of Egyptian tax regulations (VAT, WHT, CIT).
• Experience with multi‑currency accounting (EGP, AED, SAR) is strongly preferred.
• Prior exposure to the EdTech, training or professional services sectors is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Odoo ERP and/or QuickBooks.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and financial modelling.
• Familiarity with IFRS revenue recognition.
• Ability to manage multi‑currency transactions and intercompany reconciliations.
