Senior Accountant – Travel & Tourism

About the role

Ocoda Agency is looking for a Senior Accountant to lead the accounting function for its Travel & Tourism project in the GCC market. The role combines hands‑on accounting work with team leadership, ensuring compliance with Saudi regulations and industry‑specific standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations for airline ticketing, hotel bookings, Umrah packages, and tour services.
• Supervise and develop the accounting team, allocating tasks and monitoring performance.
• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and financial transactions.
• Handle BSP (Billing and Settlement Plan) reconciliation for airline ticket sales and refunds.
• Monitor supplier and vendor accounts, including airlines, hotels, and tourism service providers.
• Manage accounts receivable and payable cycles for B2B and B2C customers.
• Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with ZATCA requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in travel and tourism companies operating in Saudi Arabia.
• Proven experience in leading and supervising an accounting team.
• Strong knowledge of travel revenue cycles, supplier reconciliations, and Saudi VAT regulations.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP or other travel‑specific accounting systems.
