Senior Backend Engineer – .NET Core

About the role

Floward is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to lead the design, development, and maintenance of high‑performance, scalable backend systems. You will work in a hybrid environment, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver robust APIs and reliable microservices that power our online flower and gifting platform.

Key responsibilities

• Drive backend development initiatives, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Design, implement, and maintain RESTful APIs for frontend and external integrations.
• Contribute to microservices architecture, building modular and fault‑tolerant services.
• Manage PostgreSQL and MongoDB databases, optimizing queries and ensuring data integrity.
• Integrate with cloud services on AWS and messaging systems such as RabbitMQ.
• Write unit tests (NUnit, MSTest) and collaborate with QA to guarantee code quality.
• Identify and resolve technical debt, performance bottlenecks, and security issues.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in C# and .NET Core.
• Deep understanding of microservices, API design principles, and cloud‑native solutions.
• Experience working in an Agile environment on large‑scale, high‑traffic applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
