Senior Embedded Model-Based Developer - Control Law

About the role

eInfochips is looking for a Model-Based Development Engineer with strong experience in control laws, electric motor control, traction inverters and field-oriented control. The engineer develops, simulates, validates and supports embedded control software for inverter and motor-drive applications using MATLAB/Simulink and related tools, working on real-time control systems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain control algorithms for electrical, traction and motor-drive inverters
• Design motor control strategies such as field-oriented control, torque, speed, current and voltage control
• Build, simulate and validate models in MATLAB, Simulink and Stateflow, including MIL, SIL and HIL testing
• Generate embedded code from Simulink models and integrate control algorithms into embedded targets
• Tune control loops, support inverter commissioning and debugging on test benches or real hardware
• Work on current sensing, PWM generation, SVPWM, protection logic and fault handling
• Collaborate with hardware, software, systems and testing teams and prepare technical documentation

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Control Engineering or a related field
• Strong experience with MATLAB/Simulink and good knowledge of electric motor and inverter control
• Practical understanding of FOC, Clarke/Park transformations, PI controllers, PWM, SVPWM and control loop tuning
• Experience with real-time embedded control systems and reading schematics and block diagrams
• Preferred: experience with PMSM, induction or synchronous reluctance motor control, IEC6108, ISO 26262, MISRA C, code generation, MIL/SIL/HIL, dSPACE, Vector CANoe, ETAS INCA, CANalyzer, CAN/CAN FD, UDS, and inverter protection features
