Senior Plumbing and Fire Fighting Design Engineer

About the role

The Senior Plumbing and Fire Fighting Design Engineer will lead the design of plumbing and fire protection systems for a variety of building projects. Based on-site in Sheikh Zayed City, the role involves producing detailed drawings, calculations and technical reports while ensuring full compliance with codes and client specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Design plumbing and fire fighting systems, covering water supply, drainage, venting and sanitary networks.
• Prepare detailed design drawings, calculations and technical reports.
• Review and coordinate designs with other engineering disciplines.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
• Participate in design review meetings and support value‑engineering initiatives.
• Collaborate with project managers and clients to clarify requirements and answer technical queries.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in plumbing systems design.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proven experience in fire fighting system design, preferably in a consultancy or building‑services environment.
• Familiarity with international and local codes such as NFPA, IPC and local building regulations.
• Ability to work on‑site in Sheikh Zayed City.
