Senior Presales Solutions Architect (Cloud & DR)

About the role

Advansys is looking for a Senior Presales Solutions Architect in Cairo who combines deep hands-on expertise in Huawei Cloud, AWS, Azure and GCP with a strong focus on Disaster Recovery (DR) and multi-cloud/hybrid-cloud architecture. The role blends technical solution architecture with customer-facing presales work: designing solutions, writing technical documentation and proposals, and presenting to clients, partners and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Design end-to-end cloud architectures (current-state, target-state and DR/multi-cloud) based on customer requirements.
• Lead technical presales engagements: discovery workshops, solution design sessions and proof-of-concept scoping.
• Architect DR strategies (cross-region failover, active-active/active-passive, cold/warm/hot standby) across single-cloud and multi-cloud/hybrid scenarios.
• Produce solution design documents, architecture diagrams, RFP/RFI responses and proposals.
• Present to technical and executive audiences, including customer workshops and partner enablement.
• Partner with sales teams on technical solutions and pricing/BoQs, and support vendor and partner relationship management.
• Work with delivery and engineering teams so designs are implementable, and mentor junior presales and solutions engineers.
• Track presales pipeline metrics and contribute templates, reference architectures and playbooks.

Required profile

• 8+ years in cloud infrastructure or architecture roles, including 3+ years in presales, solutions architecture or a customer-facing technical role.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Excellent English communication; Arabic is a plus.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of at least 3 of Huawei Cloud, AWS, Azure and GCP, with familiarity across all four.
• Proven experience designing DR architectures and multi-cloud/hybrid designs.
• Networking, compute, storage and IAM/security fundamentals; cost optimization and cloud pricing models.
• Hands-on infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, ARM/Bicep, CloudFormation or Huawei Cloud equivalents).
• Certifications such as HCIP/HCIE Cloud, AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect.
