Senior Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Senior Procurement Specialist will lead the acquisition of raw materials, spare parts, machinery, services and operational supplies, ensuring timely delivery, cost‑effectiveness and compliance with quality standards. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this role is pivotal in shaping sourcing strategies, negotiating contracts and maintaining strong supplier relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Execute end‑to‑end procurement processes for production supplies, spare parts, machinery and services.
• Validate purchase requisitions, identify suitable suppliers and issue RFQs/RFPs/RFIs.
• Analyse quotations, prepare comparative statements and obtain management approval.
• Generate and follow up purchase orders to guarantee on‑time delivery.
• Conduct market analysis, develop sourcing strategies and support long‑term framework agreements.
• Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers, monitor performance and resolve disputes.
• Lead price negotiations, secure favourable commercial terms and manage supplier contracts.
• Identify cost‑reduction opportunities, analyse spending patterns and support budgeting.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, warehouse, planning and finance teams to align procurement with operational needs.
