Senior QA Engineer - Manual, Automation & AI-Enabled Testing

About the role

We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer to join Procore’s Product & Technology team in Cairo. In this role you will ensure the quality, reliability and scalability of both customer‑facing and internal applications by combining solid testing fundamentals with modern automation and AI‑assisted practices.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Review requirements, designs and specifications to identify risks, gaps and testability concerns.
• Design, develop and execute comprehensive test strategies, plans and cases covering functional, integration, regression, exploratory, API and end‑to‑end testing.
• Build, maintain and extend automated test suites using frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress or Selenium.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and monitor quality gates.
• Analyse defects, determine root causes and work with developers to drive resolution.
• Leverage AI‑powered tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, Cursor) to improve test case generation, automation development and defect analysis.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous quality improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance and testing.
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies, quality engineering principles and Agile practices.
• Hands‑on experience with manual and automated testing of web applications and REST APIs.
• Experience testing distributed, micro‑service or cloud‑native systems.
• Proven ability to work with CI/CD pipelines and automated quality gates.
