Senior Receivable Accountant

About the role

The Senior Receivable Accountant will manage invoicing, collections, and reconciliations for property‑management and company operations. The role ensures accurate, timely transaction processing and supports cash‑flow forecasting.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and issue customer invoices in line with contracts and company policies.
• Monitor AR aging reports, follow up on overdue balances, bounced cheques and outstanding payments.
• Review contracts and process adjustments for upgrades or downgrades.
• Post receipts and payments accurately in the accounting system.
• Prepare monthly cash‑flow forecasts and related reports.
• Reconcile AR subsidiary ledgers to the general ledger weekly and monthly.
• Produce regular AR reports to aid cash‑inflow forecasting and liquidity management.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities for accounts receivable.
• Maintain complete billing, payment, and correspondence records.
• Assist internal and external audits with documentation and clarifications.
• Support revenue recognition in accordance with applicable standards.
• Resolve customer issues in coordination with the CRM team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (preferred).
• 3–5 years of accounts‑receivable experience, preferably in real‑estate or construction.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational abilities and effective communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with real‑estate accounting software such as Yardi, MRI, QuickBooks or SAP.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience using general accounting systems.
