Senior Scrap Sales & Purchaing Specialist

About the role

The role is responsible for managing the Group's scrap sales activities, from identifying and valuing scrap materials to negotiating with buyers, coordinating collection and loading, and ensuring maximum financial return.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the collection, classification, and tracking of scrap and waste materials across the Group.
• Identify and evaluate scrap quantities and types to support effective sales and pricing.
• Develop and maintain relationships with scrap buyers, traders, and recycling companies.
• Negotiate prices and commercial terms to achieve the best possible return.
• Monitor scrap market prices and trends for different materials.
• Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Warehouses, and Security to organize collection, transportation, sorting, and loading.
• Monitor scrap sales, payments, and related documentation.
• Prepare periodic reports on quantities sold and revenue generated.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental requirements during scrap handling and transportation.
• Identify opportunities to improve scrap sales and reduce losses.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 3–5 years of experience in scrap trading, sales, purchasing, recycling, or waste management.
• Strong knowledge of scrap materials, market prices, valuation, and trading practices.
• Experience dealing with scrap dealers, traders, recycling companies, or industrial waste buyers.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Good command of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
