Site Engineer – Geocycle (Sokhna Plant)

About the role

We are looking for a Site Engineer to join our Geocycle division at the Sokhna Plant in Egypt. You will be responsible for overseeing production and maintenance activities, ensuring safety, quality, and cost‑effectiveness while supporting our sustainable waste‑to‑energy initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise sorting system operations and material handling to maintain a safe, efficient workflow.
• Conduct regular inspections of machinery, implement preventive and corrective maintenance, and manage spare‑parts inventory.
• Develop and follow production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and optimise plant capacity.
• Monitor equipment performance, generate operational reports, and lead troubleshooting of process or equipment issues.
• Ensure compliance with government waste‑management legislation, company policies, and health‑and‑safety standards.
• Maintain high‑quality standards for alternative fuel materials through proper sorting, handling, and storage.
• Build and sustain relationships with contractors, suppliers, and service providers.
• Lead, coach, and develop platform technicians, promoting a strong HSE culture.

Required profile

• Proven experience in plant operations, production scheduling and equipment maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations in an industrial setting.
• Ability to manage teams, coordinate with external stakeholders and drive continuous improvement.
