Site Mechanical Engineer – HVAC, Plumbing, Firefighting

About the role

Qontrac is looking for an experienced Site Mechanical Engineer to join its engineering team. The role combines on‑site supervision of mechanical installations with office‑based tender preparation and technical review, offering a dynamic environment for a professional who enjoys both field and desk work.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily mechanical site operations, including HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems, ensuring work follows approved shop drawings, specifications, and project timelines.
• Prepare, review, and analyse tender documents, Bills of Quantities and cost estimates for mechanical packages.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams, subcontractors and consultants to ensure smooth project delivery and system integration.
• Conduct regular site inspections, enforce safety regulations and resolve technical mechanical issues during installation and testing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in site engineering combined with tendering or technical office work.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical construction methods, MEP systems, materials and relevant local or international codes.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in Revit MEP.
• Experience with engineering calculation tools.
