SME / Business Banking Relationship Manager (Senior)

About the role

The Senior Relationship Manager will oversee a portfolio of SME and Business Banking customers across Cairo and other Egyptian governorates (excluding Alexandria and the Delta). The role focuses on acquiring new relationships, managing credit risk, and delivering a full suite of banking solutions to drive portfolio growth.

Key responsibilities

• Screen prospective customers against the Target Market Plan and risk acceptance criteria to determine credit appetite.
• Prepare and update client information, financial statements, and credit proposals for Business Analyst review.
• Review and approve credit extensions, ensuring accuracy, appropriate facility structure, and compliance with risk‑reward balance.
• Monitor accounts, conduct regular follow‑ups, and use renewal tools to track changes in client risk profiles.
• Maintain ongoing contact with clients, resolve internal issues, and support the Service Unit to meet SLA commitments.
• Conduct periodic client calls and site visits, documenting interactions as required.
• Promote bank products, identify cross‑sell opportunities, and provide qualified referrals to product specialists.
• Prepare target lists, conduct marketing calls, and identify expansion opportunities within the existing client base.
• Track competition practices and report findings to unit heads.
• Oversee treasury, cash management, trade, and corporate finance solutions for clients.

Required profile

• Proven experience in SME or Business Banking relationship management.
• Strong understanding of credit risk assessment and regulatory limits.
• Ability to analyze financial statements and prepare credit proposals.
• Excellent client communication and service orientation.
• Track record of achieving portfolio growth targets.
