Sociology Quality Assurance Lead (Remote)

About the role

This contract position is for a remote Sociology Quality Assurance Lead who will oversee the quality and consistency of sociology‑focused AI training data. You will work with a distributed team of trainers and annotators, ensuring that all output meets rigorous academic and ethical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review AI‑generated sociology content and trainer work against detailed project rubrics.
• Provide precise written feedback to improve accuracy, theoretical application, methodological rigor, and bias sensitivity.
• Identify recurring quality issues and communicate updates to trainers and QA partners.
• Support onboarding of new contributors and maintain up‑to‑date documentation.
• Activate and monitor contributors who are not consistently delivering work.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Sociology, Social Sciences, Anthropology, Demography, Criminology, Gender Studies, Public Policy or a closely related field.
• 3+ years of experience in sociology research, teaching, policy analysis, qualitative/quantitative research, or academic writing.
• Strong grasp of English for clear written communication and feedback.
• Deep knowledge of sociological theory, social institutions, inequality, race/ethnicity, gender, class, culture, deviance, research methods and ethics.
