Software Architect – Automotive Embedded Systems

About the role

Avelabs, an Arrow Company, is looking for an experienced Software Architect to lead the architecture of brake business unit software projects and product platforms in Cairo.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain modular, reusable, and testable software architecture for automotive brake systems, following ASPICE and BRBU process standards.
• Collaborate with system, hardware, safety, and offshore BSW teams to ensure proper interfaces between Application Software (ASW) and Basic Software (BSW).
• Provide detailed architecture documentation, including static and dynamic designs, CPU load optimization, and integration test strategies.
• Mentor team members, support validation activities, and drive continuous process improvement.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Electronics or related field.
• 10 + years software engineering experience, with at least 5 years in automotive projects using AUTOSAR and model‑based development.
• 5 + years experience as a software architect, including safety‑critical design (ASIL C/D).
• Fluent English and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
