Software Engineer - Integrator, POWER

About the role

Valeo is looking for a Software Engineer – Integrator focused on power‑related systems. You will work at the intersection of software, hardware and system architecture to deliver reliable, low‑emission automotive solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with system architects and hardware teams to capture, analyse and document software requirements for power control, diagnostics and communication.
• Break down system‑level specifications into clear, testable software requirements and maintain traceability.
• Integrate software components, drivers and application code from multiple teams into a functional build.
• Develop and maintain build automation scripts (CMake, Python) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab).
• Manage Git repositories, branching, merging and release tagging.
• Flash integrated software onto target hardware (OBC, DCDC), perform hardware bring‑up and smoke testing.
• Support architecture and detailed design documentation, participate in design and code reviews.
• Act as a technical bridge across systems engineering, hardware design, software development and validation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in embedded software development, integration or systems engineering.
• Solid programming skills in C and strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle.
• Experience with version control (Git) and scripting (Python).
• Familiarity with build systems (Make/CMake) and embedded compilers/linkers.
• Knowledge of AUTOSAR architecture and RTE configuration is a plus.
