Software Pre-Sales Engineer (Gulf Market)

About the role

The Software Pre‑Sales Engineer will support sales teams across the Gulf market, primarily in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. You will translate customer business and technical requirements into robust solution proposals, conduct demos and proof‑of‑concepts, and help close strategic deals.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with sales to gather and analyse customer requirements.
• Design and propose technical solutions, including architecture diagrams and statements of work.
• Prepare and deliver technical proposals, respond to RFPs/RFIs/RFQs, and assist with effort estimation and BOM preparation.
• Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and proof‑of‑concept sessions.
• Engage with customers in meetings, workshops, and discovery sessions, explaining technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Document high‑level and low‑level solution designs, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance.
• Coordinate with engineering, delivery, product, and support teams throughout the sales cycle.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry trends, competitor offerings, and company products.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field.
• 3‑6 years of experience in presales, solution engineering, systems engineering or technical consulting.
• Proven ability to prepare technical proposals and respond to RFPs.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with a customer‑oriented mindset.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, customer‑facing environment and manage multiple opportunities.
