Steward (Hotel Operations)

About the role

We are looking for a Steward to join the hotel operations team at Rixos Premium Seagate in Sharm El Sheikh. The role ensures that all dishware, glassware and kitchen equipment are cleaned, stored and ready for service while supporting overall hygiene and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, pull and stack cleaned items and return soiled items for re‑scrubbing.
• Monitor water temperature and chemical levels, run the dishwasher on the correct cycle and complete required documentation.
• Clean and maintain the dishwashing machine, including trash removal, spray‑arm cleaning and troubleshooting malfunctions.
• Store clean wares in designated areas and hand over functional buffet equipment to attendants.
• Coordinate duties with staff on all shifts, control employee entry/exit times and break periods.
• Manage garbage collection areas and ensure proper waste segregation.
• Participate in the Emergency Response Team and implement energy‑saving and environmental training.
• Apply quality‑management and food‑safety procedures and perform any additional tasks assigned by management.

Required profile

• Primary school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role, or 1 year in a lower position with demonstrated competence.
• Previous training in hospitality or related field.
• Basic computer literacy.
