Stewarding Attendant

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Stewarding Attendant to join our hotel in Cairo. The role ensures the kitchen and dining areas remain clean, organized and ready for service, supporting a high‑quality guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain dishwashing machines, monitoring detergent levels and water temperature.
• Clean, sanitize and organize kitchen equipment, utensils and dining ware.
• Polish silverware and copperware as required.
• Maintain a tidy, dry work area at all times.
• Assist the kitchen team during banquet events by washing dishes and handling high‑volume periods.
• Follow safety procedures, wear appropriate protective gear and report any faulty equipment.
• Set up decoy systems for soiled dishes and prepare detergent solutions for cutlery soaking.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation and hygiene standards in all tasks.
• Collaborate with kitchen and dining staff to keep workflow efficient.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or restaurant.
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing and speaking).
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods.
• Positive attitude, strong teamwork and flexibility to work shifts, weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• Dishwashing machine operation and maintenance.
• Silverware and copperware polishing.
• Preparation of detergent solutions for cutlery soaking.
• Knowledge of sanitation, hygiene and food safety practices.
