Tax & Accounts Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Tax & Accounts Accountant to join our finance team and support tax compliance and accounting operations. The role involves preparing tax filings, managing daily accounting entries, and collaborating with various departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare tax audit files and required documents for Income Tax, VAT, and Payroll Tax.
• Handle the Egyptian Tax Authority electronic systems and tax platforms.
• Prepare and submit tax returns on time in accordance with regulations.
• Follow up tax payments and coordinate with the General Accounting Department.
• Organize and maintain tax records and documents.
• Record and review daily accounting entries and perform customer and supplier account reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing monthly and annual financial reports and statements.
• Review revenues and expenses to ensure accurate recording.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor bank and treasury transactions.
• Enter financial data accurately into accounting systems.
• Follow up invoices and financial documents and ensure proper approvals.
• Participate in periodic inventory counts and account reconciliations.
• Cooperate with different departments to provide required financial information and reports.
• Comply with financial and tax policies and procedures.
• Contribute to improving accounting and financial processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
• Previous experience in taxation and accounting.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow‑up skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with the Egyptian Tax Authority electronic systems.
