Technical Office Engineer – Furniture

About the role

The Technical Office Engineer will support furniture fit‑out projects in Alexandria, preparing detailed shop drawings, cost estimates and quantity take‑offs while coordinating with design, production and site teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and update furniture shop drawings, technical details and material take‑offs (MTO).
• Develop BOQs, quantity take‑offs and support cost estimation and budgeting for furniture works.
• Review specifications, finishes, hardware and manufacturing methods, and ensure compliance with approved drawings and quality standards.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, suppliers and on‑site teams, including architectural, civil, electrical and MEP requirements.
• Conduct site visits to resolve technical and installation issues and maintain accurate project documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in technical office, furniture fit‑out, interior design or construction.
• Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving abilities and capacity to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
