Technical Office Section Head – New Damietta

About the role

ARX Development is seeking an experienced Technical Office Section Head to lead its Technical Office Execution team in New Damietta. The role involves overseeing shop drawing preparation, quantity take‑offs, and ensuring technical compliance across all construction activities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the Technical Office Execution team, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
• Review, prepare, and approve shop drawings before site execution.
• Prepare and review quantity take‑offs, BOQs, and periodic payment certificates.
• Provide technical support to site engineers and resolve technical issues.
• Review consultant‑issued drawings for constructability.
• Coordinate closely with Project Management to align with project schedules.
• Monitor and evaluate variation orders from technical and quantity perspectives.
• Ensure compliance with approved specifications, codes, and quality standards.
• Participate in technical coordination meetings with consultants and project teams.
• Prepare and submit periodic technical reports to the Technical Office Manager.
• Oversee the preparation of technical office documentation and approvals.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
• 8–12 years of experience in technical office and construction execution.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of shop drawings, quantity surveying, cost control, planning, and payment certificates.
• Excellent understanding of construction codes, standards, and technical specifications.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and leadership abilities.
