Tecnomatix / Siemens Digital Industries Software Engineer

About the role

Advansys is looking for a Digital Manufacturing Engineer with hands-on experience in Siemens Teamcenter and Tecnomatix Plant Simulation. You will manage product and manufacturing data in Teamcenter and build simulation models to analyse and improve production systems.

Key responsibilities

• Manage product data, BOMs, documents and engineering changes in Siemens Teamcenter
• Configure and support Teamcenter workflows, access rules and data structures
• Build and maintain discrete-event simulation models of production lines and logistics systems using Tecnomatix Plant Simulation
• Analyse simulation results to identify bottlenecks and improve throughput, resource utilisation and layout
• Run "what-if" scenarios to support production planning and investment decisions
• Use SimTalk scripting to customise and automate simulation models
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing and industrial engineering teams
• Prepare clear reports and recommendations based on simulation findings
• Provide user support and training on Teamcenter and Plant Simulation

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing or Computer Engineering, or a related field
• 2-3 years of practical experience with Siemens Teamcenter and/or Plant Simulation
• Understanding of PLM concepts: BOM management, change management, workflows and versioning
• Understanding of discrete-event simulation and production system analysis
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Fluent English (written and spoken)

Required skills

• SimTalk scripting
• Teamcenter customization (ITK, SOA) or integration with ERP systems such as SAP (preferred)
• Familiarity with other Siemens tools such as NX or Process Simulate (preferred)
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and digital twin concepts (preferred)
• Siemens certifications (a plus)
