Tendering Officer

About the role

The Tendering Officer will manage the end‑to‑end tendering process for categories such as Facility Management and Site Services. Acting as the bridge between internal technical teams and external suppliers, the role ensures that all procurement activities comply with company policies and commercial standards.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the full tendering cycle, from issuing RFP/RFQ packages to pre‑qualified vendors to handling supplier queries and clarifications.
• Prepare comparative cost analyses and support commercial negotiations, ensuring vendor submissions meet technical requirements.
• Maintain accurate category and supplier data in the digital procurement system and perform quantitative bid analyses.
• Track procurement metrics such as vendor response times, payment term adherence, and order fulfillment rates.
• Manage day‑to‑day supplier relationships, resolve delivery or documentation issues, and update supplier scorecards for quarterly reviews.
• Collaborate with internal departments to clarify technical specifications and align procurement actions with business needs.
• Promote a positive safety culture and comply with the company’s safety, security, and environmental policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field (engineering background a plus).
• 3‑5 years of experience in procurement or tendering, preferably in a corporate or industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of procurement cycles, sourcing methodologies and basic contract terminology.
• Familiarity with local commercial regulations and corporate ethics policies.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (vLookup, Pivot Tables).
• Proficiency with ERP procurement modules.
• Data analysis and quantitative evaluation of vendor bids.
