Test Engineer (m/w/d)

About the role

Join sonnen’s Device and Site Control (DSC) team in Cairo to ensure the reliability of our residential and industrial battery systems. As a Test Engineer you will design, implement and maintain test cases and automation frameworks that validate the performance of sonnenBatteries.

Key responsibilities

• Develop test specifications, procedures and tools for automated testing of sonnenBatteries using Python.
• Support and enhance test hardware used for automated software tests.
• Collaborate directly with SCRUM software developers to integrate testing into the development cycle.
• Create, execute and document both manual and automated test cases, and report results.
• Maintain the testing repository, documentation and ensure system stability across new software releases.

Required profile

• Completed studies in electronics, computer science or a comparable field.
• Strong focus on automation and quality.
• Experience with Python development and/or test automation (preferred).
• Familiarity with inverter or battery system technology.
• Excellent teamwork, communication skills and fluency in English.
