Training Officer

About the role

The Training Officer will ensure that new and existing employees at the Sukari gold mine receive the education, training and skills development required for their roles. Reporting to the Learning and Development Coordinator, the role designs, develops and implements training programmes while tracking progress and maintaining compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct training needs analysis by collaborating with employees to identify skills gaps and clarify job expectations.
• Develop instructional manuals, onboarding materials and training programmes aligned to performance criteria.
• Coordinate external training, support online learning and manage booking processes and training prioritisation.
• Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness, track ongoing training, and communicate recommendations to stakeholders.
• Promote safety, participate in incident investigations and support continuous improvement of safety culture.

Required profile

• BSc in business administration, engineering or a related field.
• Certified Trainer and Assessor qualification (e.g., Cert IV TAE or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in training delivery or coordination, preferably in mining or oil & gas.
• Strong communication, organisational and relationship‑building skills.
