Vice President Business Development – North Africa

About the role

We are seeking a commercially driven Vice President of Business Development to lead and expand NymCard’s footprint across North Africa. This senior, hunter‑type position will build the market from the ground up, shaping go‑to‑market strategy while closing high‑value enterprise deals with banks, fintechs, telcos and other financial institutions.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full sales cycle from prospecting and C‑suite engagement to negotiation and contract signing.
• Develop and execute a regional go‑to‑market strategy targeting Tier 1 and Tier 2 banks and licensed financial institutions.
• Build and maintain a qualified pipeline that supports revenue targets for NymCard’s full‑stack platform.
• Establish executive relationships with decision‑makers across retail, digital banking and payments divisions.
• Collaborate with Product, Compliance, Risk, Legal and Finance to shape commercially viable solutions.
• Represent NymCard at industry events, central bank forums and banking associations.
• Provide market intelligence on regulatory shifts, competitor activity and client needs.
• Report pipeline transparency to the Chief Business Officer and maintain accurate CRM hygiene.
• Track booked versus realized revenue and coordinate handover to Solutions and Delivery teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in enterprise‑level business development or sales within the payments, fintech or banking sector.
• Demonstrated ability to generate new ARR, close complex deals and maintain a reliable pipeline.
• Strong executive presence and ability to engage C‑suite stakeholders across multiple countries.
• Strategic thinker who can design and implement regional go‑to‑market plans.
• Excellent collaboration skills with cross‑functional teams such as Product, Risk, Compliance, Legal and Finance.
