Women and Girls Safe Space Project Coordinator

About the role

The Women and Girls Safe Space (WGSS) Project Coordinator will manage daily implementation of WGSS activities, ensuring they follow a survivor‑centred approach and humanitarian principles. Reporting to the Humanitarian Analyst and aligned with the UNFPA Egypt Country Programme, the Coordinator will lead coordination, oversee field staff, and support planning and monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day WGSS operations in line with the Annual Work Plan and UNFPA standards.
• Provide administrative support to field teams and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, including monthly allowances and field visit clearances.
• Lead coordination efforts with partners, including the Ministry, to ensure effective service delivery.
• Oversee field staff management, progress reporting, and outcome tracking.
• Support transition planning by identifying community‑based partnership opportunities and analysing service challenges.

Required profile

• Experience coordinating humanitarian or development projects.
• Familiarity with survivor‑centred approaches and humanitarian principles.
• Ability to work closely with government ministries and UN agencies.
• Strong administrative and operational management skills.
