BIM Electrical Team Leader

About the role

Innovo Group is looking for a BIM Electrical Team Leader in Cairo. The role leads and coordinates the electrical BIM team in developing, managing and delivering accurate, coordinated electrical BIM models and construction documentation in line with project requirements, BIM execution plans, applicable codes and company standards. It also involves supervising BIM Electrical Engineers and Modelers, coordinating electrical systems with other disciplines, resolving clashes and ensuring timely delivery of all electrical BIM deliverables.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the BIM Electrical team, assign tasks, set priorities and monitor productivity and deliverables.
• Provide technical guidance, training and support to BIM Electrical Engineers and Modelers, and review team performance against schedule and quality standards.
• Coordinate with the BIM Manager, Electrical Design Team and Construction Team to resolve technical issues.
• Lead the development of electrical BIM models in Autodesk Revit, covering power distribution, lighting, cable trays, trunking and conduits, earthing and lightning protection, low-current systems (fire alarm, data, CCTV, access control), electrical rooms, substations and switchgear.
• Review electrical shop drawings, coordinated drawings and installation details before submission, ensuring they are suitable for construction and installation.
• Coordinate electrical models with Mechanical, Plumbing, HVAC, Fire Protection, Structural and Architectural disciplines, and lead clash detection in Autodesk Navisworks, tracking and resolving clashes and preparing clash reports and issue-tracking updates.
• Ensure electrical services are coordinated with ceiling spaces, shafts, plant rooms and risers, and follow up on coordination issues until closure.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 6-8 years of experience in electrical engineering and BIM modeling within the construction industry.
• At least 2-3 years of experience leading or supervising a BIM Electrical team.
• Proven experience on large-scale construction projects such as commercial, residential, hospitality, healthcare or mixed-use developments.
