Contracts Manager - Head Office

About the role

Innovo Group is looking for a Contracts Manager for its Head Office in Cairo. The role leads pre-award and post-award contractual activities, making sure contracts, subcontracts and agreements are properly drafted, administered and controlled in line with company policy, applicable law and industry best practice. It protects the company's contractual rights and obligations by managing claims and variations and giving contractual and commercial advice to senior management, project teams, clients and subcontractors from tender through to close-out.

Key responsibilities

• Set the department's policies and procedures and make and improve the organisation's contract forms.
• Assess the performance of the team and each team member individually.
• Supervise the claims/variation log and apply due dates.
• Prepare risk assessments and review major contractual correspondence, advising on replies.
• Advise on the company's obligations and merits vis-a-vis clients and subcontractors, and review claims and variation analysis when needed.
• Ensure best practices are followed from contract start to closure, and engage with clients, consultants and subcontractors in negotiations.
• Handle special assignments within the department's scope and comply with HSE requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, certified in Contracts Management, Risk Management, PMP and Cost Management; RICS membership and/or MBA preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant contracts experience.
• Excellent command of English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC standard forms, the Egyptian Civil Code and local construction law.
• Proven experience in claims preparation, negotiation and dispute resolution.
