Cost Control Excellence Section Head

About the role

The Cost Control Excellence Section Head will lead the sector‑wide cost management function within Elsewedy Electric’s Engineering & Construction division. Reporting to the Sector PMO Director, the role ensures that project portfolios across business units adhere to cost control standards, financial targets and risk mitigation strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Sector PMO Director in defining sector goals, policies and procedures for portfolio cost management.
• Collaborate with Business Units to review and improve cost control workflows and reporting standards.
• Lead awareness sessions and training on updated cost control procedures across all BUs.
• Monitor cost performance, highlight variances, overruns and financial risks, and propose corrective actions.
• Oversee validation, accuracy and consolidation of periodic cost reports for reliable sector‑level financial reporting.
• Review budget variances, earned value metrics and cash‑flow projections to maintain project profitability.
• Consolidate project cash flows and financial plans, ensuring alignment with sector‑level budgets.
• Identify high‑risk projects and develop mitigation strategies to protect financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with corporate cost control standards, financial processes and quality benchmarks.
• Provide regular portfolio performance updates and conduct financial health checks on major projects.

Required profile

• 10‑12 years of relevant experience.
• BSc Engineering (Construction Management, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Architecture).
• Professional certifications: PMP and CCP.
• Intermediate proficiency in English.

• MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel – advanced level, Teams).
• Power BI.
• ERP systems.
