ECAD Software Engineer (PCB/EDM)

About the role

Join Siemens EDA’s multi‑disciplinary team to shape the future of electronic design automation. You will develop innovative design methodologies for the Xpedition product suite and work directly with customers to accelerate time‑to‑market for complex electronic systems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement design methodologies for Siemens EDA Xpedition tools to drive customer innovation.
• Consult with customers, present design capabilities, identify workflow gaps and recommend performance‑enhancing solutions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to expand adoption of the Xpedition suite across customer design flows.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members and new recruits within the System Practice.
• Partner with the EBS product division on advanced development, customization, and maintenance of CLS‑generated applications for enterprise environments.
• Troubleshoot and optimise performance for enterprise data management (EDM) environments deployed in cloud infrastructure.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Experience with PCB hardware development methodology and hands‑on use of Siemens EDA Xpedition tools.
• Strong communication skills to engage both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python and VBScript scripting.
• Knowledge of enterprise data management (EDM) design, library methodology, tools, and design flows.
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure, database administration, optimisation, and networking concepts.
• Hands‑on experience with Siemens EDA Xpedition product suite.
