Lead Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

First.Tech is scaling digital products for financial services and other sectors. As Lead Quality Assurance Engineer you will shape the QA strategy, own automation initiatives and ensure release readiness across web and mobile applications.

Key responsibilities

• Define and evolve QA strategy, quality standards and testing processes that scale with a growing engineering organization.
• Lead planning and execution of functional, regression, integration, API, performance and usability testing.
• Design, implement and continuously improve automated testing frameworks for web and mobile using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress and Appium.
• Introduce and evaluate AI‑assisted testing tools, reviewing AI‑generated test cases and scripts for quality.
• Monitor quality metrics, drive root‑cause analysis and work with developers to resolve complex defects.
• Mentor QA engineers, promote best testing practices and contribute QA input during architecture and feature planning.

Required profile

• 6–10 years of experience in software QA, quality engineering or testing.
• Proven ownership of QA strategy, processes or testing standards in a software engineering environment.
• Hands‑on experience testing web and mobile applications (iOS and Android).
• Strong understanding of functional, regression, integration, API, performance and end‑to‑end testing.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and collaboration with engineering and product teams.
